Taiwan Internet Users Denounce Lee Teng-hui's Visit to Japan
Many Taiwan Internet users have strongly denounced Lee Teng-hui for his political conspiracy to separate Taiwan from China under the pretext of going to Japan for medical treatment.
On the forums of Internet websites, many users have aired their opinions. Some share the view that Lee's visit to Japan is neither a visit by an ordinary civilian nor a "humanitarian problem," but an out-and-out political issue.
Lee Teng-hui has brought China into disrepute by worshipping Japan. The Taiwan authorities harbor an ulterior motive in supporting Lee Teng-hui.
One Internet user bylined "Taiwan Doctor" says that doctors in Taiwan are completely able to cure Lee's sickness. "By going to Japan, he has utterly hurted Taiwan doctor's dignity," he says.
Another Internet user bylined "Observer" says that Lee Teng-hui is a "trouble maker" worth of the name. He is held responsible for Taiwan's economic recession that has affected Taiwan for one decade, as well indulgence in falsehood and other social misconducts.
A user bylined "Liangxin (conscience) says Lee Teng-hui is a disgrace of Taiwan. He loves neither China nor Taiwan, but only loves Japan and himself, he notes.
Internet users have shown strong indignation at the Taiwan authorities' overt support to Lee's conspiracy. It was a shameless act that leaders of Taiwan ignore Japan's colonial rule, but support Lee's visit to Japan, one of them said.
One Internet user who has been jobless for half an year asked the real motive of the Taiwan authorities in supporting Lee's visit to Japan since they are unable to make a success in promoting Taiwan's economic growth.
