Macao, Zhuhai Jointly Hold Investment Environment Seminar
A seminar, jointly held by China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Zhuhai, the neighboring city of the SAR in southern China, opened Friday to strengthen mutual cooperation and introduce their investment environment.
The Macao and Zhuhai Investment Environment Seminar 2001 witnessed the participation of more than 300 business people from Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong and Zhuhai, as well as a batch of foreign-funded enterprises in the sectors of science and technology, finance, tourism, insurance and commerce.
They are expected to have a better understanding of the complete investment environment, the modern communications network and the favorable living conditions in Macao and the plenty of land and human resources and the convenient transport facilities in Zhuhai.
Government officials in charge of economic affairs will introduce their investment policies and projects badly in need of funds in the two places.
The participants will go to Zhuhai Saturday to visit its industrial facilities and investment environment and conduct negotiations on some projects.
The two-day event is jointly sponsored by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Zhuhai Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
