China, UN International Symposium Opens

The International Symposium on Network Economy and Economic Governance, jointly sponsored by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and related Chinese department, opens Thursday morning in Beijing.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan sent congratulation message to the meeting.
