Chinese Premier meets Berlin Mayor

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met with visiting Berlin Mayor Eberhard Diepgen Thursday.

Zhu said China places great emphasis on its relations with Germany and is willing to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanges at all levels in order to push forward bilateral ties in the new century.

Beijing Mayor Liu Qi and other officials were present during the meeting.
