Israel Forces Shell West Bank, Gaza Strip

Israeli army Wednesday evening continued fierce attacks on Palestinian targets in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with heavy machine guns and artillery and tanks, according to Palestinian security sources.

The attacks caused large material and property losses, the sources said.

In the West Bank, the shelling was focused on the towns of Bethlehem, Beit Sahor, and Beit Jala, and Khodr village, as well as the two camps of Aida and Al-Izza.

Several houses were quickly ablaze and a Palestinian woman was injured, the sources added.

Israeli army also targeted the town of Solwad, east Ramallah city, causing massive damage.

In the West Bank town of Jericho, Israeli tanks bombed Palestinian houses.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli army attacked positions of Palestinian national security forces in central Dir Al-Balah district and destroyed military facilities and houses. The attacks caused panic among Palestinian civilians.
