Israel's Aggression Against Lebanon and Palestine Condemned
China is deeply concerned over and condemns Israel's infringement upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and Palestine, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Wednesday.
The spokeswoman called upon Israel to immediately stop its military actions so as to prevent the situation from further deteriorating.
Recently Israel has taken a series of military actions against Lebanon and Palestine, which have caused deaths and injuries as well as property losses there, and have thus aggravated the already tense situation in the Middle East, Zhang said.
The spokeswoman also expressed the hope that the parties concerned restrain themselves and take effective measures to pave the way for restarting the Middle East peace process as soon as possible.
