Senior CPC Official Meets Laotian Delegation

Ding Guangen, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Tuesday with a delegation from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), headed by Osakan Thammathewa, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the party.

Ding, also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that the relations between the two parties have kept developing, and the delegation's current visit will surely help promote the friendship between the two parties and the two countries, and the Sino-Lao good-neighborly relations of cooperation.

Osakan, who is also head of the LPRP Central Propaganda Department, briefed Ding on the current situation in Laos and spoke highly of the relations between the two parties and the two countries.

Osakan said that the two parties enjoy traditional friendship and cooperation, and he hoped that the two sides would continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the ideological and cultural fields.

The visitors started its China visit Tuesday as guests of the CPC. They will also visit Shanghai and Kunming.
