CPPCC Vice-chairman Meets Japanese Guests

Song Jian, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met Wednesday with a delegation from the Association for the Promotion of International Trade of Japan, led by its President Sakurauchi Yoshio.

They had a friendly exchange of views on China's implementation of the western development strategy and the new moves China has taken in economic and telecommunications development.

The delegation will also visit Chongqing municipality and Shenzhen, a southern coastal city where information industry is developed.

The Japanese guests are here at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
