China's 1st Clean Coal Duns-Fired Power Plant Set up

Construction of China's first environment-friendly coal refuse-fueled thermal power plant has been completed and is expected to be put into operation in northern Shanxi Province later this month.

Located in Lingshi County, the plant was financed by the Shanxi Tianshi Power Co., Ltd., in a joint venture with companies from Shanxi, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Advanced technology was introduced in the project to control dust, smoke and noise.

The 260-million-yuan project installs two generator units, each with a capacity of 25,000 kilowatts, is designed to use 400,000 tons of gangues from coal mines in the county which boasts a coal reserve of 9.7 billion tons.
