Year 2001 Sees a Stable Overall Economic Growth

On April 17, Qiu Xiaohuan, deputy director of the State Statistic Bureau expressed on a press release held by the News Office of the State Council that 2001 would see a stable economic growth in spite of the complicated environment for economic development and more uncertain factors.

As Qiu, the result of stimulating the domestic demand has been unveiled. It is approved by the practice that active fiscal policy, stable currency policy and the flexible adjustment of economic lever contribute to the tranquil growth for the China's economy. This effective policy will be sustained and further perfected along with the change of the whole environment.
