Nanjing Undergoes Massive Construction for World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention

The ancient city of Nanjing in coastal Jiangsu province is undergoing massive urban construction in preparation for the Sixth World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, scheduled for September 17-19.

Nanjing, the first host of the event in the inland areas of China, has already allocated a billion yuan to improve road conditions.

Old buildings have been demolished to give way for a broad boulevard in the downtown area, while the loop highway is being renovated.

Meanwhile, construction of the expressway between Nanjing and Hangzhou, capital city of neighboring Zhejiang province, is in full swing.

The world Chinese entrepreneurs convention, initiated in 1991, aims to unite Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide to jointly promote economic and trade cooperation, and mutual development.
