Macao to Hold Int'l Trade, Investment Fair
The 6th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) will be held at the Macao International Trade City from October 24 to 28, sponsors announced Tuesday.
This year's MIF will be a general fair focusing on the exhibition of IT and leading industrial goods, such as Internet technology, computer hardware and software, telecommunications networks, telephone products, environmental protection technology, medical equipment, travel-related products and textile and clothing.
The number of exhibit stands is expected to exceed 500, representing a larger-than-ever scale for the MIF, according to Ng Lap Seng, president of the trade city.
The fair is sponsored by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and coordinated by the Macao International Trade City, a structure with a combined floor space of 60,000 square meters near the famous Casino Lisboa.
The 5th edition of the MIF witnessed the participation of 35, 000 overseas and domestic business people and the signing of 168 million U.S. dollars worth of contracts on economical and technological cooperation.
