Changsha to Host China Int'l Automotive Festival

The first China International Automotive Festival has been slated for September 30 to October 7 in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province.

The festival, with the theme of "Automobiles, Humans and Nature," is designed to advocate environmental protection and explore ways for humans to achieve harmony with nature.

The event is also expected to help boost exchanges between China and other countries in developing the automotive industry, said Rao Fuqiang, an official with the organizing committee.

A series of cultural, technical, economic and trade fairs will be staged during the eight-day festival, which will be sponsored by the China Engineering Industry Federation and the China Automotive Industry Association.
