Delisting Expected in Late April: CSRC Senior Official

It is out of question that some listed companies will be delisted from the stock market this year and the earliest delisting is likely to be seen in this month, China Central Television Station quoted senior regulator Li Xiaoxue as saying.

Li, director of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) listed companies regulation department, made the remarks when attending a session of the supervisory committee of the Securities Association of China.

Li said the newspapers were also right in expecting delisting before June since the regulators are not sure as yet which company is really failing.

However, CSRC has announced at a news conference that the tolerance period is not absolutely necessary and neither is the 45 days of grace period, Li said.

"If we subtract these two periods, we can come to a conclusion that after all the annual reports are published before the end of this month, some company will join the rank of delisting," Li said.
