Hangzhou's Population Increases One Million in Ten Years
This capital of east China's
Zhejiang
Province now has a total population of 6,878,000, 1,045,900 more than 10 years ago, according to the City Bureau of Statistics.
The population has risen 101,200 on average a year.
The population density in the city is 414 persons per sq km. Shangcheng District is the densest, averaging 18,508 people per sq km, while ChunĄŻan County is the sparest, averaging 86 persons per sq km.
