Hangzhou's Population Increases One Million in Ten Years

This capital of east China's Zhejiang Province now has a total population of 6,878,000, 1,045,900 more than 10 years ago, according to the City Bureau of Statistics.

The population has risen 101,200 on average a year.

The population density in the city is 414 persons per sq km. Shangcheng District is the densest, averaging 18,508 people per sq km, while Chun��an County is the sparest, averaging 86 persons per sq km.
