2,200 Year Old Tomb Found in East China CityChinese archaeologists have found a tomb dating back to the Warring States Period (475-221 B.C.) in Qingdao, a coastal city in east China's Shandong Province.Located in the Hetoudian Township, the 6 meter by 3.1 meter tomb was discovered at a local brickyard with a project under construction, said an expert. More than 40 historical artifacts were unearthed from the tomb, including bronze weapons, stone musical instruments and pottery items. The tomb is a cenotaph with no-one occupying the coffin, the expert said. The discovery will provide valuable clues for studies on the history and culture of the period.
