China Export Commodity Fair Set to Open

The 89th China Export Commodities Fair was scheduled to open Sunday, April 15 in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

For this fair the organizing committee has provided more booths for traders of electronic household appliances, textiles, and garments. Stands for products, such as artwork, which have less added value have been reduced.

The fair, the biggest biannual event for foreign trade in China, will provide 550 more booths from the center hall to ease the shortage of booths.

To cope with business customs, the closing time of the exhibition will be postponed by one hour everyday to seven o'clock in the evening. The service charge will be cut by 10 percent.

The organizing committee has invited 12 percent more enterprises to this fair than the last fair. The number of participants is expected to match the record high of 100,000 of the previous fair.
