China Carries out First Amputation on Panda: ReportChinese experts have carried out the first amputation on a giant panda whose left hind leg was badly injured in an attack by another animal, the state-run Xinhua news agency said Friday.Giant panda Dai Li was found by local farmers after the attack in February and sent to a veterinary hospital at the Sichuan Agriculture University.
