Team Drawing for Beijing Universiade Concluded
The heads of the delegations concluded the team drawing for the Beijing Universiade Saturday.
It is the first time that the drawing opened to the media in the history of International University Sports Federation, known as FISU.
A total of 138 Teams which will compete in seven different team events, were drawn publicly during the two-hour drawing ceremony presided by Roch Compana, the secretary general of FISU.
China will compete in the all seven events of men's waterpolo, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's football and women's football.
According to the Universiade consuetude, the host China was listed in the poll A of every sport event. Other fair-insured arrangements like no more than two countries or regions come from one continent will be drawn in the same poll were also taken into consideration by FISU.
