Largest Trade Fair in West China Scheduled

Chongqing, the largest municipality in southwest China, is scheduled to host the Sixth Chongqing Investment and Trade Fair from April 25 to May 5.

So far, more than 1,000 foreign business people from Europe, America, Southeast Asia as well as from Hong Kong and Macao regions have applied to participate in the fair, the largest of its kind in the western part of China, according to the organizing committee.

In addition, 3,500 business people from inland provinces will also attend the fair.

Chongqing, located on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is a key industrial and commercial city. About 30 of the world top 500 transnational companies have been settled in Chongqing due to its good location, optimized industrial structure and rich technological force.

During the forthcoming fair, Chongqing will provide domestic and overseas investors with 1,100 projects covering the fields of infrastructure, high-tech agriculture, industry, environmental protection, tourism, commerce and trade.
