Xu Xinghu's Relatives Visit Missing Pilot's Family

Parents and sister of Xu Xinghu, a journalist killed in the US bombing of the Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia two years ago, Thursday visited the family of Wang Wei, the missing Chinese pilot.

Xu's relatives made a special trip to Huzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, and expressed their sincere sympathy to Wang's family.

Xu Linhua, Xu's sister, said to Wang Lin, Wang's sister: "Xu Xinghu and Wang Wei were in the same age group. On hearing that Wang is missing in the collision incident, my whole family is very concerned. My parents insist on visiting you. In face of this kind of shock, the grief and indignation of our two families are beyond description."

With tears in her eyes, Xu Linhua continued that, full of consoling words, she called Wang's family on the night of April 9. "But after I got through, I just could not utter a single word," she added.

Wang Lin said: "Both Wang Wei and Xu Xinghu are good sons of our parents and the Chinese people as well. They are not only good brothers of ours, but also good brothers of all the Chinese sisters. We are very proud of them."

Xu Linhua asked Wang Lin again and again to take good care of Wang's parents and wished them good health. She also wrote to Ruan Guoqin, Wang Wei's Wife, expressing similar care and wish.
