Ningxia Sees Booming Aviation Market
The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China witnessed a boom in passenger air travel last year, when the number of passengers carried increased 50 percent year on year to 290,000.
A local aviation official said that many air companies are keen on the potential business market in Ningxia. "They have opened a variety of air routes linking cities nationwide with the region," he said.
The booming aviation market is a result of the country's further development in the vast western area, the official said.
