Philadelphia Orchestra's Third Stage in Beijing

Philadelphia Orchestra, one of top five philharmonic orchestras in the US, will come here for the third time on June 1 on its world round performance for celebrating its centennial anniversary. In due time, the orchestra along with Lang Lang, a Chinese pianist now staying in the US, will give a pause for this year's "Gather in Beijing" activity.

Conducted by Wolfgang Sawallisch, the orchestra will perform Dvorak's Scherzo Capriccio, Tchaikovsky's No.4 Symphony, and Mendelssohn's No. 1 Piano Concerto, in which, Lang Lang will play the role of piano.

Lang Lang, is another Chinese wunderkind after Li Yundi, Chen Sa and Zuo Zhang, who has been acknowledged worldwide as great piano interpreter.
