China Telecom, ICBC Hang Together

China Telecom and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) on April 12 signed an agreement for overall cooperation in Beijing.

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in such areas as communication network resources utilization, business collaboration, e-commerce, online settlement and financing. Routine meetings will be held at a top level by the two sides for better cooperation.

China Telecom boasts a nationwide communication system built on DWDM and SDH technologies, and has been developing at a fairly high technological level. Its Internet bandwidth in China has come up to 800 G and international outlet to 2000 M.

China Telecom said that it will strengthen its cooperation with ICBC and other large commercial banks as well. On one hand, it will earnestly provide services for ICBC, on the other, it will have the backing of financial service of banks.

ICBC has grown into China's largest state-owned commercial bank from a specialized bank after 17 years of development with an asset up to 4 trillion yuan.

The cooperation will not only help in a raise of competitiveness but also an enhancement of service levels by the two sides.
