The delegates dispersed into three sub-committees and after discussing wide range of bilateral economic commercial, scientific, cultural and industrial relations between the two countries, agreed to proceed further with cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

Pakistan offered to supply wheat and more rice to Iraq, while Iraq requested Pakistan to supply raw materials in the fields of medical packaging and textile. It was also agreed to supply engineering goods, motor vehicles, electoral appliances and construction materials.

Pakistan agreed to help Iraq in rehabilitation of their industries. The two countries agreed to learn from each other's experience in agriculture and irrigation.

Iraq wanted to learn from Pakistan's growing success in the field of Information Technology and, given the importance of the area, both sides agreed to constitute a separate committee for cooperation in the field of IT.

The two sides agreed to convene the 9th Session of Pak-Iraq Joint Ministerial commission in Baghdad on mutually agreed dates.
