Canadian Art Exhibition to Be Held in Beijing

Some 73 paintings by Canadian artists will be put on show in the Beijing Yanhuang Art Museum from April 19 to May 20, according to the Ministry of Culture Wednesday.

The exhibition "Terre Sauvage: Canadian Landscape Painting and the Group of Seven" will present works of art by the Group of Seven and other renowned Canadian artists.

The Group of Seven, formed in 1920, is known for its works that vividly capture the spirit of Canada.

Hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Canada's Department of Heritage, this exhibition is also an important part of the second "Meet in Beijing" Arts Festival starting in April.
