Mainland Enterprises Raised More Than HK$10 Billion in HK

Enterprises from the mainland of China have sped up listing in Hong Kong SAR this year. So far, the seven Hong Kong-listed enterprises from the mainland this year have raised a total amount of HK$11.64 billion of capital from Hong Kong stock market.

Preliminary statistics show that 21 enterprises have got listed in Hong Kong this year, raising a total capital of HK$12.76 billion, 91 percent of which is raised by the mainland enterprises, and the capital raised by the two large-sized enterprises, CNOOC and Travelsky, accounts for 86 percent of the total.

In additional, more and more hi-tech enterprises from the mainland favor the capital-raising capability of the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM). Of the five enterprises getting listed on the GEM in the past week, two are from the mainland, with the capital raised accounting for 68.5 percent of the total.

So far, 119 mainland enterprises have got listed in Hong Kong, with the market value accounting for 27 percent of the total; five are listed on the GEM, making up a share of 7.9 percent.
