Report: US Sents Drug Cheaters to Olympic GamesThe United States routinely sent its drug-using cheaters to the Olympic Games, including last year's Games in Sydney, a former US Olympics Committee doping control official was quoted as saying at the CBS News.Wade Exum, the committee's top doping control officer until last year, said in the network's "60 Minutes" program that the drugs involved included the anabolic steroid nandrolone, stimulants and pain killers. Asked if he believed the United States had sent athletes to Sydney who had been using performance-enhancing drugs, Exum said: "Yes, I believe that. I believe that we sent athletes to every games that have been using performance-enhancing drugs." CBS also interviewed two cyclists Greg Strock and Erich Kaiter, who said their coaches had given them pills and injections which they now believed to have been banned drugs, the Washington Post said. |
