China, Luxembourg Vow to Further CooperationChinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan said Wednesday that China hopes to explore new areas of cooperation with Luxembourg and promote the all-round cooperation with the European country.Tang made the remarks during talks with Lydie Polfer, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Public Administration and Administrative Reform of Luxembourg. Tang said that China is happy to see the fruitful cooperation in various areas between the two countries in recent years. He pointed out that China maintains that all countries, big or small, should be equal members of the international society. China has always attached importance to developing relations with Luxembourg and values Luxembourg's important role in the European Union, Tang noted. Tang said that he appreciates Luxembourg's adherence to the one-China policy and also the position of promoting dialogue while opposing confrontation on the human rights issue. Polfer said that she agrees with Tang on his evaluation of the bilateral ties. She said that her country also attaches great importance to its relations with China. Business people in Luxembourg are very much interested in doing business with China, and those that have already entered the Chinese market are satisfied with their cooperation with the Chinese side, Polfer noted. She said that she hopes the two countries will further expand and deepen their cooperation in various areas so as to push the bilateral friendly cooperation into a new stage.
