China to Hold Badminton Club League Match
The 2001 China Badminton Club League Match and to mark this will be held the first match between Guangxi and Bayi women badminton teams in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on April 13.
Sources from the press conference say that the 2001 China Badminton Club League Match, co-sponsored by China Badminton Association and CCTV, will be held in 14 places from April 13, 2001 to February 8, 2002. And the CCTV will give live broadcasts of matches on 11 contesting grounds.
The League Match will follow an elimination instead of a round robin system to decide standings by additional matches, thus to develop domestic badminton sports market, raise the contesting level of the event, and ensure the attendance of top shuttlers of the Chinese National Badminton Team. The State General Administration of Sports will also distribute top shuttlers of the national team among eight men's teams and seven women's teams to make the League Match highly competitive and come to be held with greater appeal.
In addition, the badmintonclub.com will release a wealth of data informing the background of the League Match and knowledge with regards to the clubs and shuttlers going to register with the league contest.
