Shanghai Stock Market Hits New Record
The composite index of the
Shanghai
stock market hit a historic high of 2,134.5 points shortly after the opening of the morning session Wednesday.
Turnover amounted to 1.7 billion yuan in the first 30 minutes of trading.
The previous record of 2,131.8 points was set late last year.
