WTO Affairs Data Center Established in Shanghai
A World Trade Organization (WTO) affairs data center was recently established in Shanghai.
The Shanghai WTO Affairs Data Center, the 100th WTO-related data center in the world, is sponsored by the Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center to provide the public with various information about the Geneva-based global trade body.
Dickson Yeboah, an official with the WTO, attended the launching ceremony of the new center and presented it with a great deal of reference materials.
"The establishment of the data center represents China's determination to master and implement all WTO rules," Yeboah said, adding that the doubts about whether China is able to abide by WTO rules are groundless.
The Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center, set up five months ago by the local government, aims to better prepare the city for China's anticipated entry into the WTO.
