US Is Driven into Corner: Chinese Residing in Cote DivoireChinese residing in Cote Divoire have shown great concern for the safety of Wang Wei, the missing Chinese pilot, and expressed strong indignation at the hegemonic attitude of the US government.Chinese people in Cote Divoire felt indignant at the mid-air collision incident in which a US spy plane hit a Chinese fighter and intruded into China's territorial airspace, according to Zhang Jianzheng, vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese Residing in Cote Divoire, and Hu Songbang, secretary general of that chamber. However, the US government first made groundless accusations against China and misled the public, they continued, noting that its hegemonic attitude has damaged its status as a superpower. Zhang and Hu also noted that the incident indicated that constantly making trouble at the gate of other countries, the US will certainly be driven into corner. On behalf of Chinese in Cote Divoire, they asked reporters to convey their best regards and highest respect to Wang Wei's family and PLA officers. They emphasized that they back the firm stand of the Chinese government in this incident and resolutely side with the people of the motherland in the struggle against hegemonism.
