NPC Vice Chairman Meets Thai Vice-Premier
China wishes to see further development of Sino-Thai relations, said Tian Jiyun, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), in a meeting Tuesday with Pongpol Adireksarn, vice-premier of Thailand.
China and Thailand enjoy a long-term friendship and bilateral ties have been going on well since the two countries forged diplomatic relations, Tian said. In particular, he noted, the two neighboring nations share common stance in maintaining regional and world peace and stability as well as many other major issues.
Adireksarn expressed hope that the two countries will expand cooperation in tourism, farm produce trade and financial sectors.
