Shenzhen Leads Other Cities in Securities Industry

Shenzhen leads other big cities in China in securities industry, with 12 securities companies and 5 fund management firms registered in the city.

It is learnt the number of brokerage houses registered in Beijing is 4 and the number in Shanghai and Guangzhou is 7 and 4 respectively.

The 12 brokerages registered in Shenzhen are Southern Securities, China Communication Securities, Guosen Securities, Citic Securities, Great Wall Securities, China Eagle Securities, Huaxin Securities, Ping An Securities, United Securities, Jinniu Securities, Y-sun Securities and Special Zone Securities.

In terms of both number of securities outlets and that of qualified intermediary institutions, Shenzhen is only second to Shanghai.

However, in terms of per capita number of outlets and that of qualified intermediaries, Shenzhen is still second to none.
