Wife of Missing Chinese Pilot Visited

All-China Women's Federation Vice-Chairperson Visits Chinese Missing Pilot's Wife
Ruan Guoqin, the grieving wife of missing Chinese pilot Wang Wei, whose fighter jet was rammed and damaged by a US spy plane, has received care and attention from all walks of life since the incident took place on April 1.

Hu Yanlin, vice-commissar of the Chinese Navy, visited Ruan at hospital in Beijing Tuesday, bringing her the best regards from other naval officers and updates of the search and rescue mission, which is still continuing.

Vice president of All-China Women's Federation Gu Xiulian also visited Ruan. Gu said the Federation and all Chinese women support Ruan in her justifiable demand for an apology from the US side, and will render whatever help necessary.

Ruan, who was hospitalized shortly after incident, said she will stand up to whatever is coming and will "never give up her request for an apology".
