Chinese Scientist Wins International Award

Professor He Lin of Shanghai Jiaotong University has been selected as the winner of the award "outstanding researcher" of the year recently by NARSAD - the world's largest non-government institute on brain research based in the United States.

He was selected by an appraisal committee composed 65 internationally well-known experts and scholars from across the world from among hundreds of shortlisted candidates.

He Lin, promoted by Chinese Academy of Sciences into the country's trans-century "100 Scholar Program," got his mater's degree at China's Southeast University, and received his Ph.D. in Britain.

He is now responsible for the Bio-X research center at Shanghai Jiaotong University, and also works as a guest professor at several universities.

Professor He said he will spend the US$100,000 of the award all on the neuropathy and psychopathy researches.
