China's 1st Work on History of Mongolian Literature Published
China recently published its first History of Mongolian Literature, a product of dozens of experts who spent 15 years to complete the lengthy work.
The book, which is in four volumes and has a total of 1.83 million words, covers the history of Mongolian literature from the ancient times up to 1949, the year the People's Republic of China was founded.
The Mongolian nationality has played an important role in the history of China's exchanges with other parts of the world. As early as the 19th century, scholars in the West began to engage in Mongolian study, which now attracts experts in over 80 countries.
