Goalkeeper Saves Guoan to Tie Sichuan

Goalkeeper Saves Guoan to Tie Sichuan
Beijing Guoan drew 1-1 with Sichuan Shangwutong at the Beijing Worker's Stadium Sunday leaving the host without a win in the past four matches.

Sichuan took an early lead in the second half as former national striker Li Bing netted a header from Ma Mingyu's wonderful left-wing cross, but Guoan's giant centre forward Wang Tao levelled the match at 66 minutes with a penalty.

Guoan's goalkeeper Yaojian was the hero of the match as he put down at least two crucial attacks from Sichuan's strikers.

In other matches around the country, defending champions Dalian Shide overcome Shenzhen Ping'an 2-1, Shanghai Shenhua defeated visitors Yunnan Hongta 2-0. Liaoning held to a 2-0 derby over Shenyang Haishi, and Chongqing Lifan beat Shandong Luneng 1-0. Qingdao Yizhong defeat Tianjin Taida 2-0 while Bayi drew with Shanxi Guoli 1-1.
