Musharraf Extols Pak-Chinese Friendship

Pakistani Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf on April 7 said that the time-tested friendly relations between Pakistan and China with a solid base will last for long no matter what may take place in the Pakistani political scenario.

He made the remarks while receiving a Chinese government economic and trade delegation headed by Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation An Min in the Pakistani capital.

Musharraf said that Pakistan cherishes very much the relations of friendship and cooperation with China. Pakistan and China have always supported each other in international affairs, he pointed out, describing that such friendship is "higher than the skies and deeper than the ocean."

He highly extolled the friendly contacts and sincere cooperation between the two countries, expressed his thanks for China's supports to Pakistan in various fields and the hope that such relations will further flourish in the domains of economy, trade, science and technology.

An Min also thanked the Pakistani side for its support to China in international affairs, particularly on the issues of human rights, Taiwan and Tibet. He was confident that the friendship will be enhanced in the coming years.
