North China Tourism Fair to Be Held in Dalian

The 2001 north China tourism fair will be held in Dalian, a coastal city in Liaoning Province, on April 13 and 14.

An official with the city's tourism bureau said that the fair will be jointly sponsored by the tourism bureaus and associations of 10 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in north China.

During the fair, the sixth of its kind, a great number of tour programs will be promoted, art performances and seminars on tourism development will be hosted, and tourism-based transactions will be conducted.

More than 2,000 officials and business people from tourism bureaus and travel agencies across the country as well as a dozen overseas travel businesses will participate in the fair and display their programs at 700 exhibition booths.

In addition, more than 20,000 tourists from home and abroad are expected to visit Dalian and enjoy tours here.

The them of the fair is joining hands in developing the tourism market in north China and promoting the exchange of tourism information, the official added.
