China Calls for Normalization of Army
China Friday opened a televised conference calling for normalization of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).
Fu Quanyou, a member of the Chinese Central Military Commission and Chief of the General Staff of the PLA, told the meeting that military normalization as well as intensified management are "extremely important, necessary and imperative" for the PLA and the Armed Police.
He urged the troops to maintain a high level of stability and unity in the new situation.
The general pointed out that there are still some problems in military construction amid marked progress. So rectification is necessary.
