Chinese Vice Premier Meets Japanese Guests
Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing met with Yotaro Kobayashi, chairman of the board of the Japanese Fuji Xerox Corp., and his party Friday afternoon.
Li congratulated Kobayashi on his being granted an honorary doctor's degree by the Xi'an Jiaotong University in northwest China. He also expressed his appreciation to Kobayashi and his company for supporting China's education.
Li said he hopes the Japanese government will face the future and properly handle the issue of the history textbook, in order to avoid the recurrence of historical tragedy and push forward Sino- Japanese relations on a track of smooth and healthy development.
