Senior Chinese Official Ends Visit to SingaporeZeng Qinghong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (CPCCC) and Minister in Charge of the Organization Department of the CPCCC, wound up his five-day official visit to Singapore and left Singapore for home Friday.During his visit to Singapore, Zeng called on Singapore President S. R. Nathan, Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew and Deputy Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and conveyed to them cordial greetings from Chinese leaders. Zeng had cordial talks with the Singapore leaders, centering on ways to further enhance and strengthen the multi-faceted, multi-level cooperation and exchanges that already exist between China and Singapore, especially on issues relating to human resources development. During his call on Singapore President, he conveyed an invitation extended by Chinese President Jiang Zemin to Nathan to visit China. On Monday, Zeng, together with Lee Hsien Loong, witnessed the signing of the Framework Agreement on the Senior Chinese Officials' Study Visit Program between the foreign ministries of China and Singapore by Vice-Minister Wang Yi of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Permanent Secretary Tan Chin Tiong of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. Zeng also met with a number of Singapore Ministers and visited the National University of Singapore, the Public Service Division of the Prime Minister's Office, the Singapore Technologies, the National Science & Technology Board, the Temasek Holdings, the Sentosa Development Corporation, the Jurong Town Corporation, the Civil Service College, the People's Action Party headquarters and the Military Institute of the Singapore Armed Forces, among others.
