Thailand Newspaper Urges US to Change Hegemonist Attitude

The editorial carried in Thailand's Sing Sian Yit Pao yesterday urged the US to change its hegemonist attitude in handling the incident of a US spy plane bumping into a Chinese fighter.

The editorial said that as were shown by the past cases of accidents involving US military personnel stationed abroad, the US has always attempted to shrieked responsibility onto others by showing off its strength, and refused to make an apology.

It noted that according to international laws, the US plane intruded into China's territorial airspace and landed at a Chinese airport without permission.

So, China is naturally entitled to inspect the US plane and investigate the crew.

Since the incident involves its territory and sovereignty, it is only too reasonable for China to exercise its self-defense right, it pointed out.

The editorial emphasized that if the US doesn't change its hegemonist attitude, similar incidents are definitely unavoidable.
