2001 China Enterprise Summit to Be Held

World Economic Forum - 2001 China Enterprise Summit, co-sponsored by the World Economic Forum and China Enterprise Federation and supported by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), will be held from April 17 to19 in Beijing.

The subject of the summit is: Chinese Economy in New Century - Transformation and Innovation in Global Angle of Views.

Chen Jinhua, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, also president of China Enterprise Federation, said that the subject has the following four aspects in meaning:

1. Chinese entrepreneurs should take a global angle of view under the current situation of economic globalization to observe and meet the challenges when the Chinese economy is increasingly merging with the world economy;

2. The subject is in conformity with China's strategic goal in the new century;

3. It is able to meet the needs of information exchanges among enterprises in order to seize every opportunity for the development in all trades;

4. It offers chances for Chinese entrepreneurs to learn something more and new.

At the appointed time, over 500 delegates including state leaders, entrepreneurs and experts will come to attend the World Economic Forum-2001 China Enterprise Summit, the 20th grand gathering of its kind.
