Amacis Ltd Picks HK For Its First Asia Pacific Regional Office
Hong Kong, with its liberal business system and strategic location, has been picked again by a foreign-owned information technology firm as the location of its first office for the Asia Pacific region.
The UK-based IT firm, Amacis Ltd, has chosen Hong Kong as a test bed to start business and a hub to expand operations in the Asia Pacific. Amacis Ltd is a leading e-channel and m-channel management software company and a provider of customer relationship management software.
"Hong Kong is simply the logical choice for our first office in the Asia Pacific," said Amacis' Vice-President Mike Francis during a courtesy call on the Director-General of Hong Kong Investment Promotion Mike Rowse Tuesday.
Rowse welcomed Amacis' move to Hong Kong which serves as a springboard to Asia Pacific where there are tremendous business opportunities in the IT sector. As for the operating environment, Hong Kong closely matches the factors which overseas companies consider critical in their picking of regional headquarters or offices, he said.
