Chinese Ball Juggler to Cover 2008KM for Beijing's Olympic BidHe will walk 2,008 kilometers while juggling a ball with different parts of his body to beat his 1993 record of doing so for 1,677 kilometers. In the activity patronized by the LG electronics, Jin, a footballer of Korean nationality from Yanbian in northeast China's Jilin Province, is estimated to wear off some 30 pairs of shoes before completing the tour in about 82 days. Jin will travel through 16 Chinese cities, starting from south China's Shenzhen and ending at the Chinese capital Beijing. Jin, who has created Guinness records for a few times, said that the biggest challenge he faces is not the lack of physical power but the pain resulting from blisters on feet. "I am a footballer, so I'll have no problem for physical strength needed," Jin said. "But after juggling ball for so long, there must be blisters on feet. It will be a very painful process until the feet become callous," he added. Jin set his first Guinness record on May 9, 1992 when he juggled a ball for 10,000 times in Shanghai without a single drop. On January 1, 1993, he created two other Guinness records in ball juggling (rapid ball juggling and acrobatic ball juggling) and doing push-ups with one finger each of the two hands supporting the body. |
