China to Stage International Packaging Exhibition
The largest international packaging exhibition in China will be held from November 12 to 15 this year, according to the China Packaging Technology Association (CPTA).
The Second International Packaging Exhibition in China, a biennial event, is the most influential of its kind in the country.
The exhibition is jointly sponsored by China, Germany and Italy, and will include China's most powerful packaging enterprises the China Packaging Company and the China Packaging Import and Export Company, aside from CPTA.
The foreign sponsors of the exhibition are CenteExpo, the leading packaging group in Italy and the prestigious German exhibition giant Messe Dusseldorf.
"Promotion work at home and overseas is going on well. Big packaging enterprises from Germany, Italy, France, Japan and the United States have decided to attend," said Chen Yanxiong, director of the Exhibition Office of CPTA.
The first International Packaging Exhibition in China was held in Beijing in 1999. It attracted 260 packaging enterprises, including more than 80 from overseas, and 30,000 business people, sources said.
