Overseas Chinese Presents Rotorcylce Helicopter to BOBICO

Dong Dawei, the Chinese-American businessman, Monday presented the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee(BOBICO) a rotorcycle helicopter to show his support to the city's bid for the Olympiad.

The ultra-light helicopter, named "Beijing Shen'ao Hao" or " Beijing's bid for Olympics", will be used in aerial shot for films to publicize Beijing's bid.

Along with the helicopter, Dong also presented a set of aerial shot equipment and offered to train pilots free of charge for the BOBICO.

Dong, born in Beijing in 1948, was a graduate majoring in helicopter manufacturing. In the 1980s he went to America to study the ultra-light helicopter. Through trail-blazing efforts, he has set up three high-tech companies in the United States.

"It is the aspirations of every overseas Chinese to see China become stronger and more prosperous,"said Dong."My biggest wish is that the plane could be helpful to Beijing's bid for the Olympics."
